About the Guide:
Capt. Dave is a second generation guide and has been fly fishing for over 20 years. His fishing experience extends beyond Central Florida as he grew up fishing Trout streams throughout the Northwest while growing up in Idaho. Although his roots take him back to throwing dry flies from a drift boat, his heart and passion are in the excitement of hooking mean-spirited saltwater game fish! Having fished in different regions of the country, Capt. Dave has gained much experience and insight on feeding patterns and techniques on catching a wide variety of fish, ranging from offshore Cobia, Amber Jack, Jack Crevelle, and Bonita to Snook, Tarpon, Redfish and many more along the beaches. His true passion is to be out on the water, putting people on fish and seeing their reaction and excitement as their rod bends!
His clientele range from very experienced anglers who are targeting specific species to first time folks who just want to catch fish. It’s all fun!
This part of Florida offers an abundance of near shore wrecks that are out of sight of land, but shallow enough to be able to bring fish to the boat and present a fly in front of them. Half, three-quarter, and full day charters are available. Capt. Dave runs a new
Andros Boatworks panga-style boat which provides
a very comfortable and safe run out to the near shore wrecks and reefs. Finatic features plenty of room up front to cast and fight fish without obstructions. Capt. Dave prides himself in making sure that your day of fishing is a fun, enjoyable day on the water spent fighting fish!

Rods:
- 7 wt to 12 wt (Speak with Capt. Dave to find out what he recommends specific to your trip)

Flies:
- Baitfish patterns in various colors as well as shrimp and large crab patterns. The colors that work the best are olive/white, chartreuse/white, tan/white, and all white.
