Turn Your Old Gear into New. . .
Scott S4SOur eBay upgrade program is going strong. We have been able to help a number of our customers sell their unused equipment and upgrade to something they will use.

If you have any name-brand rods or reels you would like to trade for credit give us a call, fill out our contact form or bring them in. We'll give you an estimate of what your items will go for. Then, if you like the numbers, we'll take pictures, create the listings and put your rods/reels up on eBay. When your items sells you will get store credit for the full amount less any eBay and PayPal fees. If they don't sell (most do) you pay only for eBay listing fees.

Orlando Outfitters is on Facebook
In order to communicate more effectively with our customers Orlando Outfitters is now on Facebook. We will still be sending out regular newsletters via Email but will use Facebook for day-to-day communication. If you don't have an account, recent Facebook posts are available on the homepage of our website.

Local Fishing
The weather is warming up - and so is the fishing! Tarpon are showing up down South in their usual haunts, cobia are off the beach and the reds are where they are supposed to be.

The redfish still aren't eating predictably (i.e. just because you can find them doesn't mean you can catch them) but they are there and will eat. Finger mullet are making their way back into the Lagoon and if you find the right spot you just might luck into a glass minnow "hatch" complete with feeding redfish and trout looking for an easy meal. The fly of choice? A small Clouser or other baitfish immitation.

Bluegill are on the beds in Orlando area lakes. A light fly rod, some extra tippet and a small box of poppers will keep you busy for hours. Make sure you're ready in case a large bass decides it's time for a snack.

We look forward to seeing you in our shop in the near future. You can contact us at (407) 896-8220 or fill out our contact form.
