- Introduction to Fly Fishing
We start a new session of our Introduction to Fly Fishing almost every month. Check below for details.
- Fly Tying Classes
We offer fly tying classes throughout the year. Take a Basics class to get started then chooses intermediate/advanced classes that interest you.
- Flies and Lies - 1st Wednesday of every month
Come hang out, tie some flies and tell some lies. Bring your tools and materials and tie whatever you want. We hold Flies and Lies here at the shop on the first Wednesday of each month. We get started around 6PM and are usually here until around 9PM.
Please note that Flies and Lies is a chance to hang out with other fly tiers and to share patterns and stories. While we all learn from each other this is not a class environment.

Saturday, January 12
Intermediate Fly Tying - Shad Flies and the St. Johns Shad Run. Short tying session followed by a rundown on the St. Johns shad fishery. 1:00 to 4:00 PM.

Intermediate Fly Tying - Seaducer, Deep Silhouette, Redfish Candy. 1:00 to 4:00 PM.

Saturday, February 23
Intermediate Fly Tying - Tarpon Toads and Merkin Crabs. 1:00 to 4:00 PM.
Since the Toad fly which was featured in a spring 2006 issue of Fly Fishing in Salt Waters numerous versions have shown up in both fresh and saltwater. This very effective uses the same techniques as the merkin crab, fleeing crab and a number or other similar yarn-bodied flies.
Note: If you don't tie your own flies we have plenty of toad flies in stock.
 We have tarpon toad flies, redfish toad flies, and colors/sizes for many other species as well. Come by the shop, give us a call or fill out our contact form to get some toad flies.
