T.J. Bettis
 T.J. has been catching fish ever since he was old enough to hold onto a rod. His mother taught him to fish when he was two and he has spent as much time on, in and around the water as possible ever since.
He has a passion for traveling as well as fishing and especially enjoys when the two are mixed. He has fished for many different species in many parts of the world and rarely goes anywhere without a fly rod. His wife, Heidi, even let him take a few rods on their honeymoon, which included stops at some very nice water in Ireland and Austria. He has 4 young daughters and a son whom you will see in the shop in the years to come.
Favorite local fishing:
- Hunting shore-crawling reds in the Indian River and Mosquito Lagoon.
Favorite non-local fishing:
- Looking for bonefish anywhere they can be found.
- Drifting dry flies for trout in small, rocky streams in the Appalachian Mountains.
Chris Barco
 Chris has been fishing the water around Orlando for a number of years and is an excellent person to talk with if you want to know where and how you can tangle with a big saltwater fish on the fly. He frequents the water on both sides of the peninsula and can often be found in places with lots of fish and no people.
When not fishing he is likely to be doing backbreaking labor in his yard or hanging out with his wife, Cindy. He also spends time rubbing elbows with the locals at 4 AM in some of the more out of the way places along the coast, doing his best to uphold his status as "The Legend."
Favorite local fishing:
- Catching tarpon from his kayak or, better yet, on foot.
Favorite non-local fishing:
- Fishing for bonefish in the Bahamas.
Tim Bettis
 Tim makes an occasional appearance at the shop but you're more likely to find him at the coast, in the Bahamas or up in North Carolina. He's been a major part of the shop since the beginning but these days he spends more time on the water and less time on sales floor.
He lives the coast with his wife, Margo, thier English Setter, Tess, and a small flotilla of boats.
Favorite local fishing:
- Chasing tailing redfish on the Indian River and Mosquito Lagoon.
Favorite non-local fishing:- Looking for cruising bonefish in Andros, Bahamas.
- Swinging streamers for oversized Patagonian Brown Trout.
Todd Angel
 Todd is proudly a fourth generation Central Floridian who grew up learning to fish on the Clermont Chain of Lakes and the small ponds that dot the landscape of south Lake County. Todd’s Grandfather and Great-Grandfather were responsible for introducing him to fly-fishing. His saltwater fishing experience began in and around Tampa Bay fishing for Snook, Trout and Reds and now includes frequent trips to Mosquito Lagoon, Sanibel Island, the Florida Everglades, and the Florida Keys.
When not working at the shop and sneaking in some fishing time Todd is a Fireman for the Orlando Fire Department and a Special Operations Program Manager for the Lake Tech Fire Academy. Todd is married to Christine and they have two sons, Caleb and Truman, who both seem to think that tarpon are the only fish worth catching.
Favorite local fishing:
- Sight fishing for reds, trout and snook in ML/IRL.
Favorite non-local fishing:
- Sight fishing the beaches of Southwest Florida for snook.
Barrett Gaines
 Barrett grew up on Orlando and has been fishing the area for most of his life. He'll chase pretty much anything that swims and usually has a story to tell from a very recent fishing trip. College is putting a bit of a damper on his time on the water but he still manages to get out once or twice a week.
Favorite local fishing:
- Casting at shoreline redfish on the Mosquito Lagoon.
Favorite non-local fishing:
- Chasing snook and redfish in the Charlotte Harbor area.
Maggie Finley
Maggie is the most organized one in the bunch and her efforts go a long way towards making sure things at Orlando Outfitters run smoothly. She is our e-commerce and Ebay manager and takes care of most outgoing shipments. If you place an order on our website chances are good you will hear from Maggie when your order is ready to go.
Maggie lives in Orlando with her husband and two young sons. We plan to turn them both into fly fishermen sometime in the next few years.
